Want a chance to work with your hands and learn on the job all while working towards a great retirement?

With starting wages from $13.65 to $17.55, depending on location, the Western Colorado Electrical JATC gives you the opportunity to become a Journeyman Electrician in just 4 years. This local career has wages as high as $27.00 per hour with full family medical benefits, two retirement plans and a pension.

The only thing you pay is for your books, roughly $500 a year. All other costs are covered by the local Electrical Contractors. Over the 4 years you will accumulate 8000 On The Job (OTJ) training hours and 1000 hours in the Classroom. Your OTJ’s will be from a mix of Industrial, Commercial, Residential along with specialty fields such as Solar, Controls and Fire Alarm.

The Classroom time will be spent at our facility here in Clifton, Colorado. We have two full time classrooms and a 1400 square foot lab space. Classes are held most Saturdays during the school year.

The only qualifications are to have a Valid Driver’s License, be at least 18 years old and to have graduated High School or have a GED with 1 full year of high school algebra, with a passing grade.

APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO SUBMIT:

Transcript of High School courses and grades or GED.
Social Security card
Records of previous work experience, if any.
Character references. (Written on your behalf by three persons.)
Veterans discharge records, (DD214), if applicable.
Birth certificate or other acceptable proof of age.
Submit $30.00 application fee on testing day.
